Application: optical fiber heat-melt tube (also known as optical fiber heat-shrink tube) is an optical fiber splicing protection component composed of heat-shrink tube, hot-melt tube (EVA hot-melt adhesive or other materials with good bonding effect on optical fiber and heat-shrink tube) and positioning rod (ceramic rod). It can be heated and shrunk on optical fiber (single-core, ribbon, leather wire) pipeline to play a safe protection insulation effect.

Alumina ceramics are known to be excellent electrical insulators, preventing interference or damage to sensitive electronic components in the splicer. Ceramics maintain their shape and structural integrity under varying environmental conditions, such as temperature fluctuations. This is critical to ensure accurate alignment of the fiber ribbon during the splicing process. It is also highly resistant to wear and abrasion, making it an ideal choice for components such as V-grooves and clamps that often come into contact with the optical fiber. Alumina ceramics have a low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), which minimizes expansion or contraction due to heat, ensuring precise alignment and consistent splice quality. The ceramic surface is smooth and flat, ensuring minimal damage to the optical fiber. Ceramic rod will never rust, providing better corrosion resistance even in coastal environments.
